Ultimate roster. Ultimateit seems like the company would want to keep a brand new Banjo-Kazooie game to itself. Then again, Nintendo has an established history of funding projects owned by other companies to get them on its platforms. Perhaps the most notable example is Bayonetta. It's certainly possible Nintendo has struck a similar deal with Microsoft, though unlikely. Sega is not competing with Nintendo directly in the console market like Microsoft is, and even though the two companies have been buddy-buddy as of late, such a crossover would be virtually unheard of in the industry.

Nintendo Reveals Updated Amiibo Release Dates
Dalton Cooper Articles Published Dalton Cooper is an editor for Game Rant who has been writing about video games professionally since E3 has come and gone, and we didn't get a new Banjo-Kazooie game.
Sure, the duo are coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate this fall, but fans of the platformer from yesteryear are bummed a new entry isn't accompanying this. Or maybe it is. Interestingly, the listing is for Nintendo Switch and not an Xbox console, though you'd assume if a new Banjo game was in development it would be coming to Xbox given that Microsoft owns the IP.
The listing also boasts a December 31, release date, but this obviously a place holder. That said, take this listing with a grain of salt.
Not only could it be an error or a mistake, but it could be a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo. It's also worth pointing out it may not be for a new game in the series, but a re-release or remake. For those that don't know: Banjo- Kazooie is a 3D platformer originally made by Rare and released on Nintendo 64 all the way back in the The series was initially conceived as an adventure game dubbed Dream for the SNES, but eventually transformed into the critical and commercial success that we know it as today.
The series, which has seen multiple releases since, follows the story of a bear named Banjo and his bird buddy Kazooie, who are constantly needing to thwart the evil schemes of a witch named Gruntilda. For awhile, the characters were mascots of the platforming genre, though unlike Crash Bandicoot and some other 3D platformers, the series has fallen to the wayside a bit. To date, the series has seen five entries, three console games and two handhelds.
That said, we haven't seen the series since In other words, it's been 11 years, and demand for the lovable duo to return has been growing, especially in the past few years as leaks and rumors of a revival have surfaced.

The figures will release the same day as Capcom's Amiibo wave for Monster Hunter: Riseso completists will have six figures to buy that day!
While Smash Bros. The bird and bear pair debuted on N64, where they quickly became fan favorites. Rare was even responsible for the development of Donkey Kong Country and Diddy Kong Racing which stars two of Nintendo's most well-known characters.
However, Rare has yet to release a game on any modern Nintendo consoles. It's not hard to imagine how excited fans of Nintendo and Rare were when it had seemingly been revealed that Banjo-Kazooie would be coming to the Wii U. It perplexed some as the Wii U has been obsolete for some time, but it would still give Nintendo fans a way to play Banjo-Kazooie on a Nintendo system released within the past decade.
The calendar entries were reported by Japanese gaming news source Gematsu who tweeted screenshots of the calendar in English. Shortly after the entries were discovered, Nintendo removed them and posted a notice at the top of the release schedule that states, "' Banjo-Kazooie's Adventure' and 'Blast Corps' have been posted as Wii U software delivered on December 30,but they will not be delivered.Tgx- 3 ctg x= 0
Wii U Virtual Console? Links lead to s. It's safe to assume that if Banjo-Kazooie was to make its way onto a Nintendo console it would likely be released on the Switch and not the Wii U. Additionally, Rare has worked to curate a collection of its greatest games in the form of the Rare Replay collection which is exclusively available on Xbox consoles.
That being said, it's peculiar that an incident like this would even occur. How could an employee of Nintendo make a mistake like this if a Rare title isn't planned for release in the near future? Maybe it was just a mistake Sources: GematsuNintendo Japan. Achievement Unlocked!

Nintendo's official release calendar in Japan shows that the Wii U is getting two Virtual Console titles today, and both are quite notable. According to the listing, Banjo-Kazooie and Blast Corps are seeing release. Both titles are appropriately listed as coming from Microsoft Japan as well. The calendar shows two separate listings, but the links for each game spit out a message when you click through.
Whether the calendar is completely wrong or the info got out earlier than anticipated is anyone's guess. I doubt Microsoft would have negotiated a deal only for them to go die on Wii U. Is it April 1st already?
I would buy them both but my Wii U is in its box ever since I got the Switch and that's not changing any time soon as in ever. Release them on Switch or don't even bother. Cool for the people who don't own already own these in some form! But this sure is odd what happened here. Guess it's a mistake and it'll come to NSO instead. The N64 is finally coming I mean, they obviously got NWii emulation working on the Switch, and the Switch is quite popular, but I really wonder if they'll do it and how much they'll support it.
I feel like I already own in some form any game likely to be emulated on those consoles. Dream games unlikely to be released?
Well, yeah, plenty of us have these games somehow, but I doubt everyone does. Heck, I know people who skipped the Wii and U entirely but got a Switch. There are also a lot of people who don't have their old consoles or have packed them in the attics who subscribe to the NSO etc. I think it would be great for a N64 department there. I think that'll be on the eShop, title by title. Kinda like the VC IF it happens. Here's what we know about a potential return to Nintendo consoles for Rare's cuddly platforming hero.
New Banjo-Kazooie For Nintendo Switch Possibly Leaked
In an interview with Okay, Cool, composer of the Banjo-Kazooie series - Grant Kirkhope - explained that it's likely a new studio would be behind any potential follow-up to the series. Convince somebody else to do it. But then, I just worked on a Mario Rabbids with a studio in Milan that got all the Mario-ness, they got it, picked all of it up, put in a game and its Nintendo quality.
If they can make money out of it, then I guess they can have a go out of it. The games managed to attract a massive following thanks to the marriage of being developed by a Western studio yet being published by a Japanese company, making for a different kind of charming platformer that was unlike anything on the market at the time. The series has been dormant for a year, but recently there have been rumblings about a new game in the series - so ahead of anything being announced, we've decided to collect everything we know so far.Solucion quimica formula
He's also revealed that he'd be happy for Nintendo to use the property in Smash, if it felt so obliged. Microsoft still holds the Banjo-Kazooie IP, so if we were going to see a new title head to consoles, it will almost certainly be an Xbox One exclusive.
